Established in 2012, G.K. Tennis Academy is the professional sports arena, built and owned by Georgios Kalanov, former #1 Tennis Racket in Cyprus, who has created a unique training method, based on his experience as a professional player and on many years of his work as a coach.
Located on the south coast of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus in Larnaca, G.K. Tennis Academy boasts two open courts in the quiet environment and ideal climate. We have the perfect location on the island, just 10 minutes drive from the Larnaca International Airport and the beach; and just 30 minutes drive from Nicosia and Agia Napa. Along with healthy physical activities, nearby you will enjoy great cuisine, historical places, recreational and cultural activities that Cyprus has to offer.

We want to promote tennis programs for players of all levels and ages to develop high performance, skills, sportsmanship, social interaction and sporting lifestyle, by providing proper professional guidance and tools necessary to progress from one development stage to the next in a family oriented environment.

LEADERSHIP
Founder and Principal Coach of the G.K. Tennis Academy, Georgios Kalanov is one of the most successful professional tennis coaches in Cyprus and Greece and a prominent professional tennis player that represented Cyprus in multiple tennis tournaments in Europe and worldwide.
Born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1980 to Greek parents, in his early childhood Georgios, together with his family, moved to Greece. When he was six, his father introduced him to tennis. He won his first tournament at the age of nine and became part of the junior national tennis team of Greece.
In 1996 the family moved to Cyprus and Georgios started his tennis career in Cyprus National Tennis Team. In 1998-1999 he became one of the finalists at GSSE (Games of Small States of Europe) and in 2000-2001 he represented Cyprus at Davis Cup.
Georgios Kalanov has been working as a professional tennis coach for over 20 years and he trains his son, Iraklis Kalanov, the champion at several national junior tennis tournaments and the finalist of European Junior Tennis Tours.
